| 1. | Make a current balance sheet (Statement of Financial Position) to assist in entering the Fund Accounts and the General Ledger Accounts referred to as a Chart of Accounts (COA).

| 2. | Make a list of the check numbers of all checks and deposits that are "outstanding" as of the date of the balance sheet. Remember unlike TKFlex for DOS, this program will keep the books on a "fiscal year" basis.

| 1. | Under the Setup menu select the Financial Statements program.
|
| 2. | Set up the Financial Statements following the instructions in that section.
|
|

| 3. | Under the Setup menu select the Fund Accounts program.
|
| 4. | Enter the Fund Accounts following the instructions in that section.
|
|
|
| 5. | Under the Setup menu select the General Ledger Accounts program.
|
| 6. | Enter the General Ledger Accounts following the instructions in that section.
|
|
|
| 7. | Under the Setup menu select the Bank Accounts program.
|
| 8. | Set up the Bank Accounts following the instructions in that section. For accountability, create a "bank account" for the cash on-hand. This will allow you to record cash transactions more easily.

| 9. | Under the Setup menu select the Organization Information program.
|
| 10. | Setup the Organization Information following the instructions in that section. For the initial setup enter the starting date of the fiscal year as the previous fiscal year. This allows you to enter the balances to be brought forward in steps 11 and 12.

|
| 11. | Under the General Ledger menu select the General Journal Entry program.
|
| 12. | Enter the account balances as a General Journal Entry following the instructions in that section. Use the last day of the previous fiscal year as the transaction date.

| · | Since this program uses "debits & credits", all assets such as bank accounts must be entered using positive numbers; all fund and liability accounts must be entered using negative numbers.
|
| · | For accounts associated with a bank register, enter each outstanding deposit and check individually. If you leave the number blank the computer will assign the next 'deposit' number.

| 13. | Under the Setup menu select the End of the Year program.
|
| 14. | Execute the End of the Year Closing program.
